Genevieve L. “Genny” (Keyes) Hanely
Genevieve L. “Genny” (Keyes) Hanely, age 90, of Walbridge, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Heartland of Oregon. She was born in Corning, New York on April 2, 1920 to Clarence and Adella (LeBaron) Keyes. Genny was employed with First National Bank in Point Place as a bank teller. She was also a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Genny loved to teach roller skating and did it for many years. She was also very active in crafts and knitting and in her spare time she enjoyed volunteering at Heartland of Oregon.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years; Richard, siblings; Daniel Keyes, George (Janet) Williams, Robert Williams, Richard Williams, Caroline (Grant) Morgan and Barbara (John) Veronie, many nieces and nephews and special nephew; Glenn Hofbauer. Genny was preceded in death by her father Clarence, mother Adella, and step-father; Samuel Williams and brother; Donald Keyes.
Family and Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 2-8pm at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
